这里从前是个长满各种野生植物的岛屿，海底充满了各种罕见的生物，如墨鱼、蓝环章鱼、海蛾、虾虎鱼、石头鱼、业鱼、狮子鱼、五彩缤纷的巨型蛙鱼、鳗鱼以及大群的小型伪装生物，如今已成为漫潜天堂。
卡帕莱岛是吃、住、潜、行一站全包式服务，从游客到达机场的接机服务开始到离开时送至机场，二十四小时饮料、餐点全自助。分为潜水套餐和非潜水套餐。当地拥有供应潜水、浮潜及划皮艇各种器材的潜水中心，既使潜水的门外汉也可以在这里获得由合格世界潜水教练负责指导的各种课程，包括外海潜水和夜间潜水入门课程，从而成为无拘无束的潜水人。
除了海景之外，卡帕莱岛还拥有几十间别墅小屋，它们是建在海中的高跷（屋子桩脚伫立在海中）建筑物。游客们在连接着仿若在海上漂游着的别墅小屋，坚固的木板栈道上行走漫步时，脚下就可观赏到在梭游的海洋生物。基本上每一间小屋都有着很好的观景视角，无论游客转身面向任何角度，展现在眼前的都是浩瀚壮观、美得令人窒息的西里伯斯海海景。
周边景点
马布岛离卡帕莱只有15分钟的船程。而且马布岛本身也是个潜点，风景也不错。如果有潜水证的话，就一定要去诗巴丹岛，那是世界著名的潜水地点之一。由于火山的造山运动，诗巴丹岛从600米深的海底直接伸出海面，水下部分状如烟囱，所以在诗巴丹岛边缘，只要多跨出一步，水深就直接从3米变为600米。也就是说当你向海中迈出脚步约5米之后，就是垂直落下600米深的湛蓝海洋，可谓世界顶级峭壁潜水地。目前为了保护生态环境，每天限制潜水人数。
现在去仙本娜的60%-70％的人都是去考潜水证的，因为在那里考相对来说便宜一些，又可以享受国内无法享受的无敌海景。
